I love complements. I am getting better at receiving them. (No longer putting myself down in the face of praise from someone else).
Here at a conference of 2500 adult youth workers I have received two that mean a lot.
* An old friend attended a retreate day I ran on Tuesday. She said, “I thought going into this I wasn’t going to get anything out if this because I have heard all your stuff before. It was great. I really needed today.”
* Last night in front of the whole conference Brad’;s mic failed. As always, as the guy came out to fix it, Brad made it really funny. The sound crew went out of there way to thank us for dealing with the problem with such grace and sense of humor.
