My Space

The last week has been hectic. Ended up driving to Western NY for work because flights we canceled and yesterday and today I have been moving.
For the first time in close to 6 years, I can say that I have “my own space”.
I found out a few weeks ago that the house I was living in was going to be sold as everyone moved to LA, so the scramble was on.
I found a dingy one bedroom garden apt. right off of John Hopkins’ main campus.
I am excited by:
* having my own kitchen
* being able to walk to food, coffee, a back, and a post office
* getting settled
* getting some sleep.
For some reason I was up at 3am this morning, so I did what any rational person would do…I loaded up my car with the next load of boxes, went to Laundromat and unloaded stuff. By 9 am this morning I had eaten breakfast, done laundry, read the news paper and run two loads of stuff to the new place.
Off to get basics (tp, eggs, milk, soap, dish detergent, a frying pan).
