Remedial Cockroaches

I was up at 320a this morning. I had an early flight and wasn’t sure how long it would take to get from the new place to the airport.
My bags were in the living room after being packed the night before. For some reason my cloths for the day were in the living room as well. When I turned on the light, there were three cockroaches on the floor.
This is not a surprise for a city garden apartment. It’s not like they were rats. They were small and didn’t seem too concerned by my presents, meaning they didn’t scamper. Just kept to their business.
I was under the impression that normal cockroach was to scamper.
As I was taking out the garbage before loading the car, I managed to kill one of them. Not because I was trying, but because it just ended up under my foot.
They can survive radiation, but no my miss step.
